Hello all Dog cousins, Aunties & Uncles & all the kids ...... it's Jack again with more of my adventures.

Just remembered that I forgot to tell you guys about the trip I took Nanna & the boss on up to see Justin & Michelle on the station at Balranald, & then to the Gold Coast to see Kerrilee & her family including my cousin Jack (the Dog), plus Aunty Glenda & Uncle Charley (Charley the human that is ..... not my cousin Charlie the Dog )

Then I took Uncle Charley & the boss out through outback Queensland. And those guys reckon they can catch fish !!?? ..... bullshit !! But I will tell you more about that later.

Me & Nanna beside the lake they created by flooding this area from the Murrumbidgee River. I hope you humans appreciate the work I put into preparing these posts ?? Have you ever tried to type on a computer keyboard with a dog's paw ??!! Eventually worked out that if I hold a pencil between two toes I can usually hit the right letter !!

This station is dog's paradise .... emus, roos, wild pigs, swans, ducks .... what more could a dog ask for ???!! Justin, Nanna & the boss caught some wild pigs in a mesh trap. Then the slackers just stood there looking at them wondering how the hell they were going to get the pigs out of the trap.

I offered to go in & sort them out (I have wild pig dog breeding on my mother's side !! ) although the boar with tusks looked a bit on the mean side !!! Eventually they got them out & Justin & the boss put them in a pen back at the homestead. Talk about useless !! ..... they didn't shut the gate properly & the bloody pigs got out overnight !! So we had to go out & catch them again !!!!

In the shearing shed at Balranald station, in the early days one of the biggest in Australia shearing thousands of sheep. They had stands for 100 shearers ..... bet some of my ancestors would have worked here mustering sheep !!

Michelle & Justin have a dog ..... actually, he's more the size of a horse ..... big mother !!! Seems like a nice guy but I wasn't game enough to get close enough to have a chat with him. He could bring down a ram no worries ..... problem is that after he ate his fill, there would be nothing left for me !!??

IMG_030701.jpg

Nanna got a bit tipsy at the bar ..... one too many lemon squashes she said ..... if you are dumb enough to believe that !!!???

We had a great time at Balranald Station with Michelle & Justin & "what's his name," the super dog, but the drive to the Gold Coast was a real pain. Nanna & I said that we needed to stop often for a wee, but the boss just kept on driving until we were almost wetting ourselves !!??

Finally we arrived .... Kerrilee's dog Jack ( howdy buddy !!! ) wouldn't let me in for a while .... then

he agreed as long as I didn't sleep on HIS lounge or play with HIS ball !!

After a few days there, off to the outback I went escorting Charley & the boss.

Luckily, we were always camped next to a river so we had plenty of water for the shower .... not that I needed to use it !!! But Charley said he needed to have a shower every night ..... & he doesn't even roll in the dirt like I do !!?? And bugger me, I couldn't stand going into the caravan for at least an hour after he sprayed deodorant all over himself .... took my breath away !!!!!!!

The boss just told me that I have blown away our internet data allowance, so I will post some more pictures of our outback trip when we get a re-charge. Until then .... happy camping ... Jack!!

Well .... I'm back & pounding the keyboard again, adding some more pictures & telling my story.

I took Charley & the boss out through Toowoomba to St. George. We camped on the banks of the Balonne River ..... they should call it baloney river because they told us there were fish in there but the guys caught zero, zilch, nothing !!?? Not even any yabbies !!

So after a couple days we headed on through Cunnamulla to a little place called Eulo on the banks of the Paroo River. We caught a few yabbies but still no fish.

IMG_0323.JPG

Back at Cunnamulla there is a statue of the Cunnamulla Fella sitting on his swag with his dog Jack .... well his dog WAS there & I said that I heard a guy in the street saying that someone had pinched the statue !!?? Charley said "That's rubbish .... absolute bull ..... there never was a statue of a dog named Jack here !! " So I said, "OK smartypants, look at this plaque then. "

IMG_032201.jpg

Well .... say no more !!!! Charley & the boss were lost for words, standing there with their bottom jaw dragging on the ground.

But then the bullshit really started to flow ...... the boss reckoned that the guy on the plaque, Mayor Tonkin was one of his deceased relatives. Not to be outdone by me & the boss, Charley said "What's the name of the town we are going to next." I said "Charleville .... so what !! "

" Well ..... " he said .... "Charleville is named after me !! "

Well ..... that was enough bullshit for me in one day so I jumped in the car & made out I was sleeping until we got back to camp.

When we got to Charleville two days later, I didn't even get a chance to take a photo or investigate Charley's dubious claim ..... I just got told " We're going home !! "

No discussion or consultation with me, the organiser of this trip.... just " We're going home !! "

I figure they must have gotten homesick ..... big sooks !!! Just wanted to get back in a regular bed & have the girls wait on them !!

I didn't speak to them on the way home .... just slept & dreamed about were I would go on my next trip !!??
